## The Season 2 Confusion

In 2019, reports claimed Netflix renewed for “Season 2 (Parts 3 & 4).” This never happened. Netflix split 12 episodes into two parts—Part 1 (episodes 1-6, December 2018) and Part 2 (episodes 7-12, April 2019). Outlets mistakenly labeled Part 2 as “Season 2.”

## Why It Ended

The show adapted Aravind Adiga’s complete novel with a definitive ending. Netflix treated it as a limited series—common for book adaptations. Reviews praised it as “better than the book,” but viewership likely didn’t justify continuation beyond the source material.

## Where to Watch & Legacy

All 12 episodes remain streaming on Netflix globally. The series offers authentic cricket culture and family dynamics, beautifully captured by director Udayan Prasad. As Netflix’s third Indian original after *Sacred Games* and *Ghoul*, it helped establish the streamer’s regional [content credibility](https://technosports.co.in/category/tv-shows/).
