Saul Niguez will be joining Sevilla from Atletico Madrid, as revealed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The midfielder has accepted a significant pay cut to make the move to the record Europa League winners.
The club had asked him to find a new club a couple of weeks ago, and have now reached an agreement to terminate his contract, which had two years left to run.

Agreement reached with Atlético as Saúl will terminate the contract and accept less than 50% of his current salary to join Sevilla.

The 29-year-old came up through the Atletico Madrid academy and spent a season on loan at Rayo Vallecano before being integrated into the first team. He spent seven years at a stretch with the Rojiblancos before joining Chelsea on loan for 2021-22.
He continued with Atletico for two more seasons after returning, and will now pursue a new challenge.
Saul Niguez has made 427 appearances for Atletico Madrid, winning the LaLiga title, Copa del Rey, UEFA Super Cup, Supercopa de Espana and two Europa League titles.
