India’s premier badminton doubles pair, **Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty**, have scripted history by winning their first-ever **China Masters** title — a landmark no Indian pair had achieved before.

## A Hard-Fought Victory in Shenzhen

The Asian Games gold medallists defeated China’s He Ji Ting and Ren Xiang Yu **11-21, 21-13, 21-17** in a gruelling final at the Shenzhen Arena, according to the [official BWF World Tour standings](https://bwfworldtour.bwfbadminton.com/). It marked their **second Super 750 title** of the season, following an early setback in the opening game against a fired-up home crowd.

## Third Time’s the Charm

This was Satwik-Chirag’s third China Masters final appearance, after finishing runners-up in both **2023 and 2025**. Trailing 16-17 late in the decisive third game, the Indian duo produced a stunning five-point streak to close out the match in just over an hour.

## Building Momentum Ahead of Asian Games

The win adds to a strong 2026 campaign that already includes a **Singapore Open** title earlier in May. With the pair currently ranked **fifth in the world**, this victory arrives at the perfect time as they prepare to defend their Asian Games doubles gold later this month.
