Karthi returns as a double-agent powerhouse in *Sardar 2*, but even his intense performance cannot save this mission. While the 1980s-set, bioweapon-driven plot ignites a high-octane first act, the momentum crashes post-interval. Despite slick visuals and SJ Suryah’s villainy, bloated pacing and a preachy script dilute the thrill. It is a watchable spectacle that ultimately misses the original’s sharp, espionage-fueled edge.
