AMD board partners are actively selling GPUs to miners, but they are not disclosing this information publicly to minimize fan backlash. Because such mining cards are not listed on any manufacturer’s website, information about them is not usually readily available. Fortunately for us, El Chapuzas Informatico obtained two datasheets from Sapphire, which included the GPRO X080 and X060 versions.

Even though the Sapphire GPRO series is more usually associated with workstation solutions, these cards have nothing to do with professional work. The GPRO X080 and X060 are only crypto mining cards. The hash rate might offer in Ethash (Ehtereum algorithm), according to Sapphire’s datasheet:

  • Sapphire GPRO X080: 38.0 MH/s at 165W TGP (standard), 41.6 MH/s at 93W TGP (optimized)
  • Sapphire GPRO X060: 27.8 MH/s at 100W TGP (standard), 29.4 MH/s at 60W TGP (optimized)

The X080 is built around the Navi 22 GPU, which has 2304 Stream Processors running at 2132 MHz. The RAM on the card is 10GB of 160-bit GDDR6 clocked at 16 Gbps. It is connected to a PCIe Gen 4.0 x16 interface and is only compatible with the Linux operating system. The X080 is a headless card, which means it lacks display connections and hence cannot be utilized separately.

The GPRO X060 is based on the Navi 23 XL and has 1792 Stream Processors. It has a boost clock frequency of 2044 MHz and a memory clock frequency of 14 Gbps. This variant has 8GB of GDDR6 RAM and a 128-bit interface. Unlike the X080, the X060 features DisplayPort and HDMI, so they might theoretically be reused for computer tasks later on.

The X080 costs 750 EUR, while the X060 costs 550 EUR, according to El Chapuzas. Because it is only available to large mining farms, these cards are not even advertised by any retailer. It should also be noted that Sapphire previously released the GPRO X070 fanless GPU, which was based on the Navi 10 GPU, however that card was not particularly marketed as a mining option.
