Radeon RX 570

Sapphire has just launched a new mining graphics card featuring two Radeon RX 570 GPUs which are based on the AMD Polaris architecture. These cards are specifically designed for mining but also feature a display output meaning that the card can also be used as a regular graphics card.

The card will be featuring AMD Polaris architecture which is relatively old architecture, however, it can still offer a decent mining power. By the looks of this GPU, it’s clear the this is a freshly produced variant indicating that Sapphire might have older Polaris GPUs still lying around in their inventory and the company decided to sell them as mining graphics cards.

Let’s talk about the new mining card in detail, the card is dubbed as the Sapphire Radeon RX 570 Duo, of course, this is not the official name of the card. It features a dual-slot design and a custom PCB solution featuring two AMD Polaris 10 GPUs. It has a dual-fan cooling solution and each GPU is equipped with its own heatsink block’s which comprises several heat pipes. The card also comes with 8 GDDR5 memory chips so we have a total of 16 GB of GDDR5 memory running across a 256-bit x2 bus interface.

The Radeon RX 570 features a GPU clock of 1150 MHz along with a memory clock of 2100 MHz or 8.4 Gbps. This output of memory clocks gives a definite boost for mining operations. We have two 8-pin connectors featured on the PCB however, the card is reported to consume only about 125W power and delivers a rate of 60 MH/s in Ethereum mining. The price of the card is placed at around $850 US.
