Samuel Iling-Junior managed to score in his first start for Juventus, as they defeated Atalanta 2-0. The 19-year-old has made several appearances from the bench this season, but was named in the starting line-up for the first time in their most recent game.
And he repaid Max Allegri’s trust by scoring his first goal for the club. The youngster had a fine game, and is showing signs of being slowly given a more important role in the coming seasons.

“I am proud to wear this shirt and score goals. For me it is a special moment, for my family and for my coach who always helps me. Allegri is a top coach who has won many championships and helps me grow and do the best for my career. Champions? We have to keep the level high and think about the next race,” the player said after the game.
Back in England, Samuel Iling-Junior was with Chelsea’s youth team before moving to Juventus in 2020. He has since worked his way up to the next gen team, and now the senior team. However, it remains to be seen how many opportunities he will be given with the likes of Federico Chiesa expected to make a comeback next year.
The winger has earned three caps for England at the U-20 level, and is in talks to represent them at the U-20 World Cup as well.
