Samsung’s Odyssey OLED G9 gaming monitor has finally arrived

After being unveiled six months ago at CES 2023, Samsung has finally announced the global release of their highly anticipated Odyssey OLED G9 gaming display. In terms of specs, the Odyssey OLED G9 is a one-of-a-kind gaming monitor with a 49-inch Dual QHD display with a maximum resolution of 5,120 x 1,440.

The monitor sports a 1800R curvature curve display and an ultrawide 32:9 aspect ratio. To improve your gaming experience, the monitor has a 240Hz refresh rate and a reaction time of 0.03ms, which puts it significantly ahead of its competitors.

The AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support on the Odyssey OLED G9 ensures excellent performance and a smooth gaming experience. It is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified and HDR10+ rated. The OLED G9 is a complete bundle with features ideal for both experienced gamers and professionals.

The newly announced Samsung Gaming Hub is available on Samsung’s Odyssey OLED G9.

This feature will allow customers to access all mainstream material without the need for an external connection. The Samsung Gaming Hub supports Xbox Game Pass and NVIDIA GeForce Now, providing users with complete cloud gaming access.

The Odyssey series from Samsung has long been known for its gorgeous looks, and the OLED G9 is no exception. The monitor has a centred RGB option at the rear, as well as compatibility with CoreSync and Core Lighting+, which allows users to sync the RGB lighting with the colours on the screen.

The OLED G9 features a sleek metal frame and the conventional white and subtle black colour scheme. The display has HDMI 2.1, Micro HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and a number of USB 3.0 connectors. It also includes a height-adjustable stand and VESA mount support.

The price of the OLED G9 in the United States has yet to be announced by Samsung. It is, however, available for preorder, and the company is providing a $50 discount and a $250 gift card for doing so. The OLED G9 is scheduled to be available in two models: the G95SC and the G93SC, which will not include Samsung Gaming Hub or smart TV capabilities.

The Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SC) will be available globally on June 12th, with the G93SC variant following in Q3 2023.
