Samsung’s new next-gen Alder Lake powered Galaxy Book spotted online at UserBenchmark database

In the latest UserBenchmark database we have a confirmed spotting of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Book laptop which will be rocking intel’s new next-generation Alder Lake-P 14 core CPU.

According to the latest entry, we know that it is for the Samsung ‘NP_930QED’ which is a naming convention that the South Korean tech giant specifically uses for its Galaxy Book line of laptops. The entry was spotted at a test lab within Hong Kong, China.

As we know, the existing Samsung Galaxy Book lineup features two configurations in 13.3 & 15.6″ variants & rocks the 11th Gen Core i7 and Core i5 CPUs. However, the latest laptop from Samsung rocks a 14 core and 20 threads Alder Lake-P CPU.

The new chip will be featuring 6 Intel Golden Cove (12 threads) and 8 Gracemont (8 threads) core configurations and boasted an average clock speed of 2.25 GHz. This suggests that the chip featured in Samsung’s latest Galaxy Book featured a very early prototype.

Samsung Galaxy Book Pro

Coming to the graphics for the notebook we have the Iris Xe integrated GPU based on the Xe-LP graphics architecture. As Samsung has never featured any discrete graphics options within Galaxy Book Pro laptops but it does reserve the discrete graphics cards options for its Odyssey line of devices. However, the standard Galaxy Book Odyssey did receive an update to the 11th Gen CPU family but rocks up to a GeForce RTX 3050 Ti discrete graphics.

Furthermore, the new Galaxy Book also rocked a PM9A1 256 GB of NVMe Gen 4×4 ‘MZVL2256HCHQ-00B’ SSD and it was also supported by 16 GB of DDR5-4400 memory. According to the listing the memory is supposed to be 6400 Mbps however it clocks only at 4400 Mbps.

The device is expected to go on sale for around $800-$1300 US market range based on the CPU configuration with Intel’s 12th Gen Core i7 and i5 options. For more information and details stay tuned.
