In the latest benchmarking details at Geekbench, another entry of the unreleased Galaxy Book powered with an Alder Lake processor has appeared. It was just last month that we saw a 14-core model surfaced on UserBenchmark and it was bearing the name ‘Samsung 930QED’.

The device also boasted 20 threads, hinting that it has 6 multi-threaded performance cores (Golden Cove) and 8 single-threaded efficiency cores (Gracemont). And now, the same model has appeared on Geekbench, but this time it is sporting a 12-core version of the processor. The Core i7-1270P processor has 16 threads, which could indicate the 4 Golden Cove cores and 8 Gracemont cores. Geekbench also reports that the Alder Lake processor has 18 MB of L3 cache and a 2.5 GHz base clock.

As of now, the Core i7-1270P falls short of even the Core i5-1135G7, so don’t read much on the performance numbers like this without a doubt doesn’t represent the former’s final performance. The machine and processor which appeared on the benchmarking site are prototypes and Intel is not expected to launch Alder Lake-P (ADL P) processors until early 2022.

According to sources, ADL P processors will operate at between 12 W and 45 W with DDR5 RAM support and integrated Thunderbolt 4 controllers. Alder Lake processors will also be replacing the Tiger Lake-U and -H series, with the ADL M-platform serving as a Tiger Lake-UP4 successor.
