According to information gained from an interview with The Independent, Samsung mobile head T.M. Roh stated that the company is currently working on foldable tablets and laptops, which is wonderful news for everyone who wants to take foldable gadgets to the next level.
T.M. Roh officially confirmed that foldable tablets and laptops are in development. Roh explained that this development is inspired by how people naturally open a book to read or a notebook to write. These foldable devices will offer the advantage of becoming more compact and portable when not in use or during travel, while also safeguarding important information stored within them.
Additionally, Roh mentioned that the innovations seen in smartphones will soon extend to tablets and laptops. In pursuit of this, Samsung is making substantial investments.
This reaffirms that the South Korean tech giant is actively developing foldable tablets and laptops and is committed to allocating significant resources to this endeavor. Notably, in the laptop market, Samsung’s forthcoming foldable notebooks are expected to enter into competition with products like the Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED.
He also discussed how a foldable tablet or laptop must be thin and light in order to be portable, but it must still be sturdy in order for users to use it without anxiety. This fact is important because foldable phones were far more flimsy than they are now, and if the same level of strength and structural rigidity could be given to foldable tablets and laptops, Samsung might once again revolutionise the market.
