Samsung debuts the foldable W-series handsets in China once a year and they serve as an alternative for its worldwide Z series models. They stand out due to their premium design language, unique features, and an expanded RAM/ Storage option. The W25 Flip appears to be a rebrand of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 while the W25 looks like last month’s folding flagship, The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, and appeared on the official Samsung website with its specifics highlighting premium materials used for design.

They have a ceramic black back panel with the “Heart to the World” logo and a shiny gold aluminum frame as well as a fold that perfects its hinge. The Samsung W25 Flip offers a main display of 6.7 inches and an outer one of 3.4 inches, which provides user-friendliness in navigation. Users can also access exclusive dynamic wallpapers, including “Cloud Fan Elegance,” and enjoy seamless app navigation.

The device features an AI-based autofocus system that identifies subjects for better pictures, and it comes with a 50MP main camera. Samsung has stated that the primary camera supports 2X optical zoom and can result in sharp shots ensuring each click is about precious and memorable. The powers of AI come with chat assistants, Translation in real-time transcription, and the most recent version of Bixby.

For productivity and entertainment, the W25 is a book-style foldable with many of those familiar use-case benefits. It has 8-inch and 6.5-inch screens like the Z Fold Special Edition, which means multitasking and somewhat of a tablet experience when open. The device measures 4.9mm when open and 10.6mm when closed, weighing in at 255g. Like its clamshell counterpart, the W25 exudes elegance with its ceramic black and gold design, providing a premium feel in hand. A standout feature is its ultra-high-resolution 200MP main camera.

Both models are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite (the ‘For Galaxy’ variant), which offers significant performance enhancements over the previous generation. Built on a 3nm process, the chipset provides a 45% increase in performance and a 44% improvement in power efficiency, prolonging battery life while ensuring faster, smoother operation. It also boosts AI functionalities, facilitating efficient multitasking, quicker response times, and improved connectivity. Pre-registration for both devices is currently available on Samsung’s official website.
