Smartphone manufacturers have slightly shifted their vision from regular smartphones to the premium folding or flip smartphone and in the front of that, there is a South-Korean tech-giant, Samsung. Samsung has recently launched its Galaxy Z Fold 2 and earlier that the company had introduced the Galaxy Z Flip. Recently, the Samsung Display section has provided a slight hint of its future foldable smartphone designs. Let’s check out what are those.
As per the recent sneak peek from Samsung Display, Samsung is reportedly working on a future foldable smartphone having a Z-style folding mechanism. This mechanism shows that we can fold or unfold this smartphone into three parts. So, it is basically a trifold smartphone. The left third section of the display folds inwards and onto the front of the center third. Quite obviously, the right third of the display can fold backward. So, allover these foldings make this a compact trifold smartphone.
So, the user can experience a much larger display in this device than that of the other regular folding smartphones. In short, you can use it as a normal smartphone otherwise a compact-sized tablet. Now let’s about the most important part of a folding smartphone, its durability, and lifespan. In a trifold smartphone, durability becomes more important than the other folded smartphones as it will have to face more folding and unfolding for its three-sectioned display.
Samsung is working hard on the durability and the lifespan of this future smartphone hasn’t shared anything about it yet. Looking at the designs and all stuff this future device will definitely carry a much higher price tag. So, Samsung has to take care of its mechanism as the user can use this kind of high-range device for a comparatively long time.
