# Samsung One UI 6.0: Unveiling New Features, Enhanced Design, and Improved Performance

[Samsung](https://www.samsung.com/in/)is gearing up to launch a significant Android update, One UI 6.0, packed with new features for its smartphones and tablets. Traditionally, Samsung releases a new version of its One UI software alongside major Android updates, often starting with its flagship Galaxy S series.

The rollout of One UI 6.0, based on Android 14, began with the [Galaxy S23](https://technosports.co.in/?s=Galaxy+S23) series through a beta program. This update brings substantial improvements in software design, expanded personalization options, enhanced performance, and numerous new features.

## **All New Features of One UI 6**

**New Button Layout:** The layout of the quick panel on One UI 6.0 has been redesigned for easier access to frequently used features. Dedicated buttons for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth now reside at the top of the screen, while visual elements like Dark mode and Eye comfort shield have been relocated to the bottom. Additionally, there’s a customizable area in the middle for other quick settings buttons.

**Instant Full Quick Panel Access:** Quick Settings instant access enables users to swipe down from the right side of the screen’s top to gain immediate access to the expanded quick panel, eliminating the need for a secondary swipe.

**Efficient Brightness Control:** The brightness control bar is now integrated into the compact quick panel, allowing for swift and simple adjustments by swiping down from the top of the screen.

**Enhanced Album Art Display**: While playing music or videos, the album art now spans the entire media controller within the notification panel, provided the respective app includes album art.

**Enhanced Notification Layout:** Each notification is now presented in an individual card, making it easier to distinguish between different notifications.

**Lock Screen Repositioning:** Users now have the freedom to reposition the clock on the Lock screen according to their preferences.

Simplified Icon Labels: App icon labels have been streamlined to a single line, resulting in a cleaner and more organized appearance. Additionally, some app names like “Galaxy” and “Samsung” have been shortened for easier readability.

**New Default Typeface:** The One UI 6 update introduces a fresh default font for a more contemporary and stylish look. Users who opt for the default font in Settings will experience this change after updating.

**Advanced Multitasking:** Pop-up windows will remain open even after switching to the Recents screen, allowing users to continue their work without interruptions.

**Custom Camera Widgets:** Users can now add custom camera widgets to the Home screen. Each widget can be configured to launch a specific shooting mode and save images to a designated album.

**New Emoji Design:** The update includes a redesigned emoji design for a modern and refreshed appearance in messages and social media posts.

**Weather Enhancements:** The Weather widget has been improved to provide more detailed local weather information, including alerts for severe weather conditions.

**Camera Enhancements:** The camera now includes various improvements, such as custom watermarks, streamlined resolution settings, easier video size options, and precise leveling indicators for rear camera usage.

**Enhanced Gallery Features:** The Gallery app has been enriched with functionalities like saving clipped images as stickers, an enhanced story view, and a more user-friendly drag-and-drop interface.

**Photo Editor Upgrades**: The Photo Editor introduces new capabilities, including adjustments after saving, undo and redo functions, an improved layout for easier navigation, and the ability to draw on custom stickers.

**Calendar and Reminder Enhancements:** Both the Calendar and Reminder apps have been updated, introducing new schedule views and integrating reminders within the Calendar app.

**Modes and Routines:** The update introduces various new features to Modes and Routines, allowing users to set up unique Lock screens for different modes such as driving, working, and exercising.

**Smart Suggestions Redesign:** The Smart Suggestions widget has been redesigned to blend with other icons on the Home screen, offering more customization options.

**Finder Improvements:** Finder now enables quick actions for apps directly from search results, along with storage space recommendations and other tips.

**Settings Enhancements:** Smarter Airplane mode, improved battery settings access, and enhanced security threat prevention are among the enhancements in the Settings menu.
