Samsung Electronics America unveiled its 2023 Smart Monitor portfolio today. The new Samsung M8, M7, and M5 Smart Monitors allow users to customise their display to their specific style and demand when watching, playing, or working. The portfolio for 2023 includes the next generation of the award-winning Smart Monitor M8 in 32-inch and a new 27-inch screen size in four beautiful colour combinations.
The previous generation’s 2023 Smart Monitor M8 had numerous modifications and feature advancements. With 4K resolution, HDR 10+1, and 400nit brightness, users can expect exceptional picture quality, while the Samsung M8 and M7 provide colour coverage up to 99% sRGB colour gamut, bringing all material to life in stunning colour for content creators.
The Samsung M8 and M7 have been developed to fit almost anywhere in the home.
The M8 and M7 sport a flat, very slim rear that is 11.39mm thick thanks to a new Iconic Slim Design. The ergonomic, sleek design adds practicality and flair to any desk.
The rear of the Samsung M8 and M7 displays have a herringbone pattern design to further enhance their appearance. The height-adjustable tilt stand allows M8 and M7 users to adjust the angle as needed, and the screen can now rotate 90 degrees to view large documents in portrait mode.
The new line includes Samsung Smart TV capabilities such as Samsung Gaming Hub, which allows you to play games from leading streaming partners without the need for a PC or gaming console. Popular video streaming apps such as Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube are all available on the monitors.
Furthermore, with a built-in SmartThings Hub, customers can simply connect, control, and manage hundreds of compatible connected devices from their Smart Monitor. Users can use the SmartThings App2 to turn off lights, adjust the thermostat, and do other things.
The Samsung M8 and M7 also offer built-in voice assistants such as Bixby and Amazon Alexa for effortless monitor management. A built-in mic also supports far-field voice, allowing users to speak straight to the monitor.
The Samsung M8 contains a detachable, magnetic camera that allows customers to connect wirelessly without the need for an additional purchase. Its SlimFit camera3 offers FHD resolution and video conferencing functionality with Google Meet and other apps, and it uses Auto Framing4 to keep people in the centre of the frame even when they move.
The Samsung M8, M7, and M5 will be available in 32- and 27-inch sizes, respectively. The M8, with UHD resolution and 400nit brightness, will be available in Warm White, Daylight Blue, Sunset Pink, and Spring Green. The M7 with UHD resolution and 300nit brightness is available in Warm White, while the M5 with Full HD resolution is available in Black or White.
