World’s biggest Android smartphone company, Samsung, has launched a new product today in the Indian market. We are talking about Samsung M42 5G. This new smartphone is the rebranded version of the Samsung Galaxy A42 that was launched in early 2021.
Samsung M42 is a smartphone that comes with 5G connectivity. It flaunts a 6.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display and comes with a waterdrop notch. It features an in-display fingerprint sensor. It features Knox security and Samsung Pay.
The device is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G mobile chipset and it runs on Android 11 OS with OneUI 3.1 custom skin on top. It is coupled with up to 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. The storage is further expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card.
The smartphone features a quad-camera setup at the rear side which includes a 48 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5 MP macro lens, and a 5 MP depth lens. For selfies and video chats, you will be offered a 20 MP front snapper.
Talking about the battery, the handset houses a powerful 5,000mAh battery cell and is powered with a 15W fast charging support. Connectivity features of the Samsung M42 include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging.
Samsung offers two variants of this smartphone. The 6 GB + 128 GB model is priced at Rs 21,999 and the 8 GB + 128 GB variant will cost Rs 23,999. However, the introductory price offers you an Rs.2,000 discount on both models, which makes the effective price of the base model Rs.19,999. It will be available in Prism Dot Black and Prism Dot Gray colours. The sale will start on 1st May with the aid of Amazon India and the online stores of Samsung.
