[Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy): Samsung might be turning over a new leaf in 2025 when it comes to software updates. According to a fresh report from **SamMobile**, the upcoming **Galaxy Z Fold7** and **Galaxy Z Flip7** are set to **launch with One UI 8 out of the box**, making them the **first Samsung devices to ship with Android 16** pre-installed.

This is big news—not just for foldable fans, but for anyone keeping tabs on Samsung’s software release strategy. After the **delayed rollout of One UI 7**, it looks like Samsung is trying to bounce back stronger and smarter.

## ***Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 to Launch with One UI 8: Here’s What That Means for You***

### One UI 8 + Android 16 Right Out of the Box

Samsung has typically launched new devices with the current version of One UI, saving the big upgrades for later in the year. But this time around, both the **Fold7** and **Flip7** are expected to **ship with One UI 8**, which is based on **Android 16**—a big shift from the usual playbook.

Why does this matter?
Because it means:

- Samsung may be ready to **release One UI 8 earlier than expected**
- Other flagship models like the **Galaxy S25**, **S24**, and last-gen foldables could receive the update **much sooner**
- Foldable fans get to **try Android 16 before Google’s own Pixel 10**

### Timeline: When Will It Launch?

If Samsung sticks to its usual pattern, the **Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7** will likely be announced in **late July or early August 2025**. That aligns perfectly with **Google’s expected June release** of Android 16 for Pixel devices.

Here’s a rough rollout breakdown:

- **June 2025** – Android 16 stable launch (Pixel devices)
- **July 2025** – Galaxy Z Fold7 & Flip7 launch with One UI 8
- **Following Weeks** – One UI 8 rollout to S25, S24, Z Fold6/Flip6, and more

### Why This Is a Big Deal

Samsung’s **One UI 7 rollout didn’t go smoothly**. Many users were left waiting months after Android 15 dropped, with even flagship models like the **Galaxy S24** stuck in limbo. So by launching One UI 8 with its new foldables, Samsung is sending a clear message: **they’re stepping up their software game**.

It also gives them a rare window of **early access to Android 16**—ahead of even Google’s Pixel 10, which is expected in **August 2025**.

### What About the One UI 8 Beta?

While it’s unclear if there will be a public **beta program for One UI 8**, leaks suggest Samsung is already testing it internally on the **Galaxy S25**. So a beta release sometime in **May or June** wouldn’t be surprising at all.

### Promising Software Turnaround

Samsung might have fumbled the ball with One UI 7, but if this report holds up, One UI 8 could mark a **fresh start**. Launching the **Fold7 and Flip7 with Android 16** preloaded would be a powerful statement—and great news for early adopters.

So if you’re holding out for the next big foldable, you won’t just get cutting-edge hardware—you’ll be among the first to experience **Samsung’s latest software evolution**.
