Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in the second half of this year. Although the book-style foldable has already been leaked multiple times, one more leak suggests that the camera system will be improved. The device is said to get a new main rear camera that is a step up from the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The under-display camera on the inner screen is also likely to receive an update, but another sensor and the selfie camera could be retained.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Tipped to Feature 200MP Camera, Could Launch in July at ₹1,64,999
According to a report from Galaxyclub.nl, Samsung is expected to include the same 200MP sensor in the Galaxy Z Fold 7 as in the flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra as the main rear camera. It also used a 200MP shooter, at least in a variant of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition that was available in select markets last year. This would make the Galaxy Z Fold 7 the first globally available Z Fold phone to include such a high-resolution main camera.
The new 200MP sensor is a big leap from the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which has a 50MP main sensor. The additional 12MP ultra-wide and 10MP telephoto sensors should stay the same, however. The under-display camera on the inner screen is also said to have received an upgrade as well, although not much was said in specific terms. Similar to its predecessor, expect a 10MP selfie camera on the cover screen.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is also expected to be announced in July, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and potentially the company’s first tri-fold smartphone. The device could launch at the same price as the Galaxy Z Fold 6, with a starting price of ₹1,64,999 for the base 12GB + 256GB model. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy SoC and offered in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options, all with 12GB of RAM.
