The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 has been spotted in leaks and it brings some significant upgrades compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 6. The phone is said to have a much bigger cover display compared to its predecessor. Previous leaks suggested the Z Flip 6 would only have a small size bump, but new details point to a much larger outer display with a new layout.

The report comes from Android Headlines, quoting the tipster Steve H. McFly (@OnLeaks), and states that the Galaxy Z Flip 7’s cover display will be close to four inches across. Samsung also seems to have changed the design of the outer display from a folding style. Earlier leaks indicated that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 would reuse its predecessor’s design language, with a 3.6-inch cover display instead of the Flip 6’s 3.4-inch panel. But the latest suggests a more radical redesign. The new foldable is also rumored to feature a bigger battery which will consist of two cells with a combined rated capacity of 4,174mAh. This can be pitched as a 4,300mAh battery which is more than the 4,000mAh on Flip 6.

As for the performance, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, though a few leaks have suggested that this device might use Samsung’s own Exynos 2500 processor. The phone may pack 12GB of RAM and storage variants of 256GB and 512GB.

Samsung will likely also improve hinge durability and reduce display crease as well. Camera-wise, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to sport a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor, along with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
