The best smartwatches for Android smartphones are made by Samsung and with its next-generation smartwatches, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, the company is anticipated to make a comparable leap.
The screen size and resolution of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series are increasing, claims leaker Ice Universe (@UniverseIce). There will be two sizes of the Galaxy Watch 6: 40mm and 44mm. According to rumours, the Galaxy Watch 6’s 40mm model will have a 1.31-inch display with a 432 x 432-pixel resolution. This is an improvement over the Galaxy Watch 5’s 1.2-inch screen, which has a resolution of 396 x 306 pixels.
According to rumours, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6’s 44mm model will have a 1.47-inch circular OLED screen with a 480 x 480-pixel resolution.
That’s an improvement over the 44mm Galaxy Watch 5’s 1.4-inch screen with 450 x 450 pixels resolution. The upcoming Galaxy Watch’s 40mm version will have a 10% increase in screen size and a 19% increase in resolution. Samsung appears to have increased the screen size of the 44mm Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 by 5%, but the resolution has increased by about 13%.
Therefore, it is anticipated that the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will have slightly sharper visuals despite having larger screens. It is unclear if a more potent chipset would be able to drive these higher-resolution displays.
We anticipate seeing similar health and fitness tracking features from the Galaxy Watch 5 series on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series, including an accelerometer, blood pressure monitoring, barometer, body composition analysis, ECG, GPS, heart rate monitor, SpO2 measurement, sleep tracking, and workout tracking, since the blood glucose monitoring feature is reportedly a few years away from release.
The MIL-STD-810G design with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance may also be present in the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series. GPS, NFC, and Wi-Fi are examples of connectivity features.
