The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 has been leaked in an official render. The exclusive renders were leaked by 91Mobiles via a reliable industry source. Moreover, these leaked pictures do not just show the upcoming smartwatch up-close from all angles. They also reveal that the upcoming Samsung smartwatch will actually be called the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4.
The leaked exclusive renders reveal the official branding by Samsung on the smartwatch. Furthermore, a thing to note here is that the Watch 4 looks nothing like the Watch 3. It seems like the South Korean giant decided to take a different road for this one.
However, a couple of the design elements are similar to the Galaxy Watch Active 2. This hints at the company attaching the ‘Active’ moniker to its brand new smartwatch series. Additionally, the leaked renders also reveal certain key specifications of the upcoming wearable.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 specifications
The Galaxy Watch 4 is expected to go for a new design, which will a lot different from the current Galaxy Watch 3. We do get a circular dial but there won’t be any rounded sides. The bezels are also expected to be minimal and the side buttons’ shape is expected to change too.
This appears like the Galaxy Watch Active 2, except the Active branding will go missing. There are chances that it will happen for future smartwatches too.
As you can see in the leaked rendering, some of the key specifications are listed on the back of the watch. The watch is available in two sizes, 40mm and 44mm. It is water-resistant to 5ATM. In addition, the Galaxy Watch 4 is as durable as the MIL-STD 810G. It also has GPS and Gorilla Glass DX + protection. Wearables are available in eye-catching color options such as rose gold, dark green, silver and black.
Previous rumors also suggest that the new Samsung watch is likely to come with a blood oxygen monitor and a body composition monitor to help people measure body mass and muscles. The smartwatch is most likely to adopt WearOS and ditch TizenOS, marking a major change.
The company claims that the new operating system will improve wearable performance and battery life in the future. Details of the Galaxy Watch 4 will be published online before the launch event. The Galaxy Watch 4 is expected to launch on June 28, which is pretty soon. Chances are high that it will launch alone.
