Samsung India twitter account revealed the 8th June launch date of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite today. This tab was unveiled in the month of April and was available from the end of that month in UK regions. The company took more than a month to launch it in the Indian market.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite will be sold online via Flipkart and Amazon. Amazon has also prepared a separate promotional page and there is a “Notify Me” button that will notify users the launch due course of time. The page has not revealed the official pricing of the tablet. But we will be discussing the US, UK and EU pricing at the end of this article.
Specification of Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite:
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite features a 10.4″ WUXGA HD+(resolution of 1,200×2,000 pixels) TFT display. There is a single rear camera of 8MP resolution with autofocus support and is capable of shooting videos in 1080p at 30fps. There is a 5MP front camera placed at the top side in the front bezel around the display of the tablet.
There is an octa-core Exynos 9611 SoC chipset powering the tablet and 4GB of RAM packed inside. The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite further was launched in 64GB and 128GB storage variants that can be expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot (up to 1TB). Galaxy Tab S6 Lite runs on Android 10-based One UI 2.0. The tablet is powered by a 7,040mAh battery. Connectivity options include 3.5mm audio jack, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, and GPS support.
Galaxy Tab S6 Lite comes with an S-Pen stylus and Samsung will also sell a Book Cover for the tablet separately which clings magnetically to the slate and has a slot for the S-Pen, thus, making it easier for users to carry it around.
Price and Availability:
The Wi-Fi model costs $349 in the US, the LTE model may cost around $399. In the UK you have to pay £349 for the Wi-Fi-only model, and £399 if you need LTE connectivity. In Germany, the tablet is priced at €379 (Wi-Fi) and €439 (Wi-Fi+LTE). There is no word for the Indian pricing of this tablet and the pre-orders will start from 8th June only.
