The Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra will be Samsung’s first flagship out of the gate in 2025. But speculation about the 2026 Galaxy S26 series has already begun. Samsung accelerates Exynos for future Galaxy successors.
We have also recently seen some rumors suggesting that the Galaxy S25 and S25+ would be powered by the Exynos 2500 chipset in some markets, with the more powerful Snapdragon model making its way to others, although the latest leaks suggest these rumors were completely untrue, with all models in the S25 series even the lower two both sporting Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Series to Feature Exynos Chips, Snapdragon Reserved for Ultra Model
According to tipster Jukanlosreve (@Jukanlosreve) who wrote on X Samsung plans to significantly Exynos chip use in the Galaxy S26 line, meaning the company is likely continuing its dual-chip strategy. That could mean the Galaxy S26 and S26+ might get Exynos chips in some markets, while the more premium Galaxy S26 Ultra would retain Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon hardware.
Samsung had used the Exynos 2400 chip in the Galaxy S24 and S24+ in some regions like India, while other markets got the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The Galaxy S24 Ultra, on the other hand, used Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 everywhere. All models of last year’s Galaxy S23 series, for instance, came with Snapdragon processors out of the box.
The Galaxy S25 was initially expected to launch alongside the Exynos 2500 chips and even made an appearance on Geekbench with the Exynos SoC in tow. However, problems at 3nm manufacturing apparently pushed this plan back a bit, and now the S25 series will feature Snapdragon 8 Elite globally. It was recently projected that the Galaxy Z Flip FE and Galaxy Z Flip 7 to arrive next year will be the first models with the Exynos 2500 SoC. As the Galaxy S26 launch is still a way out, take this info with a grain of salt.
