Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: Rounded Corners and Thinner Design Rumors Compared to Galaxy S24 Ultra

Recent leaks and industry insights suggest that Samsung’s next flagship, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will focus on ergonomic improvements rather than new display size or battery capacity configurations.

Although the display size and battery capacity are expected to stay the same as its predecessor, which is shaping up to be called the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Samsung plans on improving user comfort with a new form factor. Galaxy S25 Ultra to feature rounded corners, leak shows boxy Galaxy Note 7-like design. This change is understood to help in providing a better grip on the device preventing any sharp edges which might cause issues when using.

The Upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

Ice Universe – a Twitter leakster with an enviable track record when it comes to Samsung. Still, some in the industry have pointed out one possible drawback: cases that are already designed for the Galaxy S24 Ultra presumably won’t fit around those rounded corners on your future new-fangled Samsung handset-based purchase of a gadget just to feel something else.

More evidently, the leaks indicate that S25 Ultra dimensions will be thinner at a thickness of 8.4mm compared to the 8.6mm of S24 Ultra and 8.9mm of S23 Ultra. Therefore, the company has been making a trend of reducing thickness in successive years as it refines the models accumulating challenges as no flagship device exceeds 5000 mAh.

It is also rumored that Samsung might use something similar to what OnePlus did with the Ace 3 Pro that as the ‘Glacier Battery’ which would enable for thinner design and corresponding increases in battery size. These could lead to batteries that are higher in energy density than before, resulting in hopefully longer-running devices without the sacrifice of thinness.
