Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Leak Reveals Rounded Design, Launch Soon

Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup will likely be formally announced early next year, possibly on January 23, 2025, at a Galaxy Unpacked in San Francisco. While the official announcement is still weeks away, an alleged hands-on video of the Galaxy S25 Ultra has surfaced online, providing a first look at the flagship model.

Even though the leaked video shows rounded corners instead of sharp edges like the ones on Galaxy S24 Ultra, we think that the design change is big. The glossy metallic finish and trademark Samsung camera layout have also excited fans.

The 10-second video is said to have first appeared in a Reddit post and was then reposted by leading tipsters like Ice Universe and @chunvn8888. These sources also say the device appearing in the tape is, indeed, the Galaxy S25 Ultra. In the clip, the phone is shown to feature a flat design with mildly rounded corners, which looks to go in line with the upcoming One UI 7 interface. The front camera continues to sport the hole-punch cutout, and we can see the power key as well as the volume rocker on the right side of the frame. On the back, we have the quad-camera arrangement of the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Dummy units of the Galaxy S25 Ultra have also surfaced, suggesting a switch to rounded edges. The design evolution of Galaxy Flagships reflects Samsung’s work to streamline its flagship high-design and hand-feel. While Samsung is usually expected to use its own Exynos line of processors in the international version of its phones, the entire Galaxy S25 lineup will offer a Samsung-exclusive version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, so top performance goes across the board: Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and a newly rumored Galaxy S25 Slim.
