Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy S25 Ultra at the end of January, and anticipation for the device is growing. There have been leaks and rumors for a while giving a peek as to the specs of the next handsets. Samsung’s camera setup on its upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra will be “very similar” to the Galaxy S24 Ultra according to the leaks, with some key upgrades.

According to tipster Assemble Debug (@AssembleDebug) on X, the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s camera setup will consist of a 200MP main camera with Samsung ISOCELL HP2 sensor (1/1.3″, 0.6µm-2. 4µm, f/1.7, 23mm). The device will also include a 12MP Sony IMX754 3x telephoto lens (1/3.52″, 1.12µm, f/2.4, 67mm) and a 50MP Sony IMX854 5x telephoto sensor (1/2.52″, 0.7-1.4µm, f/3.4, 111mm). For selfies, the S25 Ultra will be equipped with a 12MP front camera using the Samsung ISOCELL S5K3LU sensor (1/3.2″, 1.12µm, f/2.2, 26mm).

As with the S24 Ultra, the S25 Ultra will host a similar camera configuration but will sport a new 50MP imaging sensor in the form of the Samsung ISOCELL S5KJN3 (GN3) with an optical size of 1/1.57” and 1.0µm pixels. The new camera sensors will be combined with a more advanced telephoto lens design, utilizing Samsung’s latest ALoP (All Lenses on Prism) tech, which will see a lot more optical zoom capability placed onto the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
