Samsung Galaxy S25 FE May Launch with Dimensity 9400

Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch the Galaxy S25 FE, likely in the second half of 2025. Previous rumours indicated that it would recycle the Exynos 2400e SoC from the Galaxy S24 FE, but a new leak suggests that won’t be the case. The Galaxy S25 FE may feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 according to NoteBookCheck, which would be a pretty substantial departure for Samsung and its prevailing chip supplier.

The Exynos 2400e continues to be Samsung’s preferred candidate for the Galaxy S25 FE, according to sources. But if Samsung Foundry has production constraints, the Dimensity 9400 from TSMC could come into play. This MediaTek model on paper is higher-spec than the Exynos 2400e, but Samsung probably also favours its own silicon to keep costs low and to also get behind its foundry. The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is rumoured to come as the lite model of the Galaxy S25, which is speculated to come with a custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 “Elite” SoC.

The FE model (Fan Edition), in its usual way, will be part high performance, part affordability, and will appeal to users who want flagship features at a slightly lower price. If history repeats, the Samsung S25 FE should launch around late Q3 or Q4 2025.
