Samsung was previously rumored to launch the Galaxy S25 Edge in April, but a content creator appears to have obtained an early unit, revealing key details ahead of schedule. In a newly uploaded video, he showcases the sleek flagship alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6, highlighting its thin profile and sharing some surprising specifications. Some of this has been known for weeks, but new details add to the intrigue around the device.

YouTuber Alexis Garza has also posted a brief video of the Galaxy S25 Edge, though that video might not last very long online. The device is carrying the model number SM-937U, suggesting that this is a U.S. variant. The smartphone is described in the video as a 12GB RAM, 256GB model, making this the high-end flagship. Compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 side by side, the Galaxy S25 Edge is potentially the same thickness as half of Samsung’s foldable flagship. Samsung has had two prototype models for this one with 6.4mm thickness and another with 5.84mm.

The company ended up opting for the toned-down version, with the S25 Edge becoming one of the slimmest premium smartphones available. This design choice came with a few trade-offs, especially in battery size and camera count. Now, other reports have suggested a 3,900mAh battery, but the new leak says the Galaxy S25 Edge will feature a 4,000mAh battery, which should also be the case for the standard Galaxy S25. It will also feature 25W wired charging.

For photography, the smartphone includes a single 12MP rear camera and a 12MP front camera. However, the main sensor is rumored to be a powerful 200MP unit, the same one found in the more expensive Galaxy S25 Ultra. With its ultra-thin design, flagship performance, and high-resolution primary camera, the Galaxy S25 Edge is shaping up to be a standout device in Samsung’s upcoming lineup.
