Samsung was initially expected to unveil the Galaxy S25 Edge in India on May 13th at a launch event in New Delhi. However, according to a new report from Moneycontrol, the event has now been cancelled. There has been no official word from Samsung in regard to the reasons for the decision, but it is believed that the continued flare-up of the India-Pakistan situation could be why the phone launch has been delayed.

It has not been officially announced by Samsung, but as per a Moneycontrol report, quoting a source, the May 13th event in Delhi is indeed cancelled. The country remains on high alert due to geopolitical developments, and further updates are expected as the situation unfolds.

As for the device itself, the Galaxy S25 Edge is shaping up to be Samsung’s slimmest Galaxy phone to date. It is officially confirmed to feature a 200MP main camera and Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 for added durability. In India, the phone will be available for purchase through Samsung’s official website and Amazon.

Leaked details suggest the Galaxy S25 Edge will be just 5.83mm thick and built with a titanium alloy frame. It is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, house a 3,900mAh battery with 25W fast charging, and feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2,600 nits peak brightness. The phone is rumoured to start at around ₹89,200, based on its expected price tag of 1,500,000 South Korean won.
