Just a few days before the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, recent reports suggest that the Indian version of both the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will utilize the Exynos 2400 SoC instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. In contrast, the pricier Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, boasting a slightly higher clock speed compared to the standard chip found in other Android phones.
All About the Upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Series
A recent leak from svztechinfo aligns with earlier information, indicating that there will be two versions of the Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24+: one with the Exynos 2400, Samsung’s in-house flagship chip, and the other with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. In India, the report suggests Samsung will release the Exynos variant.
Despite the chipset differences, it is anticipated that both the Snapdragon and Exynos variants of the Galaxy S24 and S24+ will deliver comparable performance. However, drawing from the Galaxy S22 experience, the Snapdragon version might offer superior power efficiency compared to its Exynos counterpart.
The leak also reveals that all Galaxy S24 series variants will feature a flat LTPO panel with variable refresh rate technology (ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz). While the Galaxy S24 will feature an FHD+ resolution screen, the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra will boast a QHD+ resolution.
In terms of camera setups, the Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24+ will house a triple-camera arrangement at the back, comprising a 50 MP primary sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10 MP telephoto zoom lens with 3x optical zoom. Conversely, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature a 200 MP primary sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 10 MP 3x telephoto lens, and a 50 MP 5x periscope zoom lens. All three variants are said to include a 12 MP selfie camera supporting up to 4K video recording.
Among the trio, the Galaxy S24+ is anticipated to receive a substantial hardware upgrade, featuring a high-resolution display and a large 5,000 mAh battery, mirroring the specifications of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Pre-bookings for these smartphones have already begun at a price of ₹2,000, with Samsung offering additional benefits for those who pre-order before the official launch. The Samsung Unpacked event on January 17 in New York is set to officially unveil these smartphones.
