The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is reportedly set to launch in September this year, as per information from well-known tipster Yogesh Brar. The upcoming smartphone from the South Korean tech giant, according to Brar, is the next addition to the Fan Edition (FE) lineup and will be unveiled next month. This same tipster had previously leaked comprehensive specifications about the device, leaving little to the imagination. Notably, the Galaxy S23 FE will mark the return of the FE series following the Galaxy S21 FE.
The recent discovery of the smartphone on the BIS certification website has added weight to the imminent launch of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE. Brar has also confidently affirmed that the next FE series device is indeed launching next month and will have a global release, including in India. It’s worth noting that this marks the reintroduction of the FE series, not considering the earlier S21 FE Snapdragon variant launched earlier this year.
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Rumored Specs
As per Brar, the smartphone will retain the 6.4-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, much like the Galaxy S21 FE. The processor options are expected to be either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or the Exynos 2200, depending on the region. After globally launching the Galaxy S23 series with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, Samsung is reverting to the dual-variant approach.
The processor will be supported by up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The leak also divulged that the smartphone will sport a triple rear camera system, including a 50MP sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 12MP telephoto sensor. On the front side, a 10MP selfie camera will be featured. Anticipate the device to come with the standard camera features typical of Samsung’s flagship offerings.
The Galaxy S23 FE will operate on the One UI 5.1, which is based on Android 13 OS. The device is expected to receive four major Android updates and five years of security support from the manufacturer. Driving the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is likely a 4,500mAh battery with compatibility for both 25W wired charging and wireless charging. Brar also disclosed that the device would hold an IP rating, though the precise rating wasn’t disclosed.
