Samsung is preparing for the release of its latest fitness tracker, named the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3. This upcoming wearable was initially identified on the FCC certification website last month, where the certification document provided details on its schematics and model number, SM-R390.

Recently, leaked renders from Windows Report showcased features such as a side button, a heart rate sensor, and non-removable straps. Ahead of its official launch, the Galaxy Fit 3 has now obtained certifications from BIS and TUV Rheinland.

The Upcoming Samsung Galaxy Fit 3

The BIS certification discloses the model number as SM-R390, indicating a potential launch in India given the certification by the Bureau of Indian Standards. The TUV Rheinland certification has unveiled that the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 will be equipped with a 200mAh battery, surpassing the Galaxy Fit 2’s capacity by 41mAh. The certification listing also indicates 5W charging support for the fitness band.

While the TUV Rheinland certification provides insights into battery details and fast charging, it doesn’t reveal additional information about the upcoming fitness tracker. Previous leaks suggest the Galaxy Fit 3 may debut in Rose Gold, with the possibility of more color options at launch.

The fitness tracker is anticipated to feature GPS support, a notable addition lacking in the earlier Galaxy Fit and Fit 2 models. It is also rumored to run on the Android OS instead of rtOS seen in previous models, potentially offering built-in storage and standalone music playback support.

As of now, the pricing details for the device remain undisclosed. Although more expensive than the Galaxy Fit 2, which was priced at ₹3,999, the exact pricing for the Galaxy Fit 3 is yet to be revealed. Additionally, the launch date is unknown, but considering Samsung’s expected announcement of the Galaxy S24 series in January, there’s speculation that the Galaxy Fit 3 might debut around the same time.
