Last year, Samsung unveiled its plans to introduce a new fitness tracker alongside its Galaxy Watch smartwatch series, providing a glimpse of the upcoming wearable’s tentative design. Recently, the initial set of images for the Galaxy Fit 3 has surfaced, offering a preview of the fitness tracker’s appearance.
All About the Leaked Samsung Galaxy Fit 3
As depicted in the leaked images shared by Windows Report, the Galaxy Fit 3 seems to sport a considerably larger screen compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Fit 2. Its design has evolved to resemble more of a smartwatch, although it is expected not to operate on Wear OS, a feature characteristic of Samsung’s Galaxy Watches. The device showcases a rectangular OLED screen with relatively slender bezels, positioning it as a potential competitor to devices like the Fitbit Charge 6 and Xiaomi Band 8. Notably, it incorporates a single button on the right side and lacks a loudspeaker, indicating potential limitations in call capabilities and a comprehensive virtual voice assistant.
In the leaked images, the Galaxy Fit 3 is presented in a pink/gold color scheme, featuring a heart rate sensor on the back and two pogo-pin connectors for charging. The silicone strap, reminiscent of a traditional watch, contributes to comfort, though it doesn’t appear to be replaceable. While the inclusion of GPS, a feature absent in the Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit 2, is suggested, the presence of Bluetooth music streaming remains uncertain until the official announcement.
Assuming the Galaxy Fit 3 does not run on Wear OS, it could potentially offer an extended battery life, estimated to last a week or two on a single charge. However, this comes at the expense of not having access to the smart apps characteristic of the Galaxy Watch lineup. The Galaxy Fit 2, introduced in 2020 with a $59 price tag, hints that the Galaxy Fit 3 may be priced slightly higher due to enhancements such as the larger screen.
