Samsung Galaxy F-series Launch Teased in India: F06 and F16 Expected
These Galaxy F-series phones are generally sold exclusively via Flipkart and the Samsung official e-store. The detailing on the microsite in the e-commerce mentions that the upcoming F-series device will be ‘futuristic’, ‘fashionable’, ‘fast’, and ‘foto’, indicating an emphasis on performance, shooting capabilities, and a trendy design. While the identity of the phone is a mystery right now, Galaxy F06 and Galaxy F16 support pages have appeared on Samsung’s website recently, suggesting that it can be one of these models, or maybe both.
The support page could not reveal many details, however, the Galaxy F16 had recently surfaced on Geekbench with the model number SM-E166P/DS. The chip landed scores of 678 and 1902 in single-core and multi-core testing, respectively. Expected to come with 8GB of RAM with Android 14 installed out of the box, the device would be using MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset which has six cores at 2GHz and two cores at 2.4GHz.
Speculations are also rife that the Galaxy F16 might be similar to the Galaxy A16 which was launched in October 2024 at ₹18,999. If this is true, it is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch display, 50MP primary camera, 13MP front-facing camera, and 5,000mAh battery. The Galaxy F15, for context, was priced at ₹12,999.
On the other hand, the Galaxy F06 is expected to share similarities with the upcoming Galaxy A06 5G. The F06 may be the first 5G model in the A0x series and is expected to feature 4GB of RAM, MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, and Android 15.
