Samsung Galaxy A36, A56 India Launch Set for March 2: Prices Leak

Samsung is set to unveil its new Galaxy A-series mid-range phones in India next week. The line-up will be consisting the Galaxy A36, Galaxy A56, and potentially the Galaxy A26 according to various certifications, benchmark listings, and support pages. Registration company has already begun for the devices and the registration page also has an India launch confirmation.

On the other hand, 91mobiles Hindi has disclosed the Indian pricing and memory setups of the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56. These mid-range devices will replace the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55, which will be a step up from their respective predecessors.

The new Galaxy A-series phones will be revealed on March 2, 2025, as indicated by the official registration page. A recent teaser video from Samsung suggests that these devices will offer six years of OS updates, similar to the Galaxy A16, which launched in October last year with the same update policy. According to 91mobiles Hindi, the Galaxy A36 will start at ₹32,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB + 256GB model will cost ₹35,999, and the 12GB + 256GB version will be available for ₹38,999.

The Galaxy A56, on the other hand, will be priced at ₹41,999 for the base 8GB + 128GB variant, ₹44,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model, and ₹47,999 for the top-end 12GB + 256GB configuration. In the global market, a report by German publication WinFuture claims that the Galaxy A56 could start at €479 (approximately ₹44,000), while the Galaxy A36 could be priced at €379 (around ₹35,000) and the Galaxy A26 at €299 (roughly ₹28,000). For comparison, the previous Galaxy A25, A35, and A55 were introduced at ₹26,999, ₹30,999, and ₹39,999, respectively.

In terms of specifications, the Galaxy A56 5G could feature the Exynos 1580 SoC, and the Galaxy A36 5G could be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. The Galaxy A26 is said to be powered by an Exynos 1280 chip. Like their predecessors, all three phones are expected to feature a 50MP triple-camera array. While the Galaxy A36 will get 45W fast charging support, and the Galaxy A56 will continue with the same, the Galaxy A26 will settle for 25W charging support. The first two could pack a 5,000mAh battery, while the A26 may settle for a little lower 4,565mAhcell.

According to the leaker, all three will rock a 6.7-inch screen with a 2340 x 1080 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. For instance, the A56 may have Gorilla Glass Victus screen protection, the A36 with Gorilla Glass 7i, and the A26 with an undisclosed Gorilla Glass series. In addition, the A36 and A56 would offer an under-display fingerprint sensor while the A26 could feature a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Samsung is also hinting at a refreshed design, new color options, and a more modern look for these phones. We should see more leaks and rumors about the devices in the next few days, with the launch event scheduled for March.
