Samsung Galaxy A36 5G and Galaxy A56 5G Spotted on NBTC Certification Website, Hinting at Imminent Launch
These models include the Galaxy A36 5G and Galaxy A56 5G bearing the model numbers SM-A366B/DS and SM-A566B/DS, respectively. The certification listing states support for GSM, WCDMA, LTE, and NR connectivity, hinting at an imminent launch in Thailand.
It seems that Samsung will be using a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset for its Galaxy A36 5G, a break from MediaTek and Exynos processors. Its dimensions are 162.6 x 77.9 x 7.4mm, so it’s shorter, but a tiny bit wider and slimmer than the Galaxy A35 5G. The phone will have the same 6.6-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, 50MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide lens, and 5MP macro camera as before, but will upgrade the 5MP front camera to a new 12MP shooter. It will probably pack a 5000mAh battery with 25W charging support.
The Galaxy A56 5G is anticipated to feature Android 15, 8GB of RAM, an Exynos 1580 chipset, and an Xclipse 540 GPU. It may come with a 1080 x 2340 display. The camera setup is expected to come with a 50MP primary, 12MP ultrawide, and 5MP macro sensor, identical to the A55 and A54. However, the front camera is said to receive a 12MP sensor upgrade. While it is expected to retain the 5000mAh battery, the Galaxy A56 5G may finally support 45W fast charging.
