Samsung Exynos 2200 will power up both Smartphones and Laptops

According to a resource, Samsung’s next Exynos chipset is built on the 5nm node, which would offer advanced technology. A tipster has informed that this chip will get the name – Exynos 2200, powering up smartphones and laptops in the upcoming months.

Ice Universe also stated that Exynos 2200 would be the first Exynos chipset to fuel both laptops and smartphones. Unfortunately, there are no specific details available but previously mentioned that the silicon could be revealed in June 2021. Now let’s see whether Samsung brings the SoC in Q4 2021 in the flagship devices or not.

We have seen that how much Exynos 2100 was improved compared to the Exynos 990. So, we can assume the Exynos 2200 to cover up the gaps of its predecessor. If you remember, both the Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100 versions of Galaxy S21 Ultra were taken for a benchmark test.

It came out that, when the GPU was stressed, Samsung’s flagship SoC started showing cracks in its armour. So, we can expect this time that it will be no longer any problem having AMD GPU and the Exynos 2200 together.

Previously, Samsung was rumoured to be working on an unnamed Exynos chipset that targets the A14 Bionic’s performance. Unfortunately, Samsung faced impractical thermal and power consumption metrics to reach that performance target, which would become fine for a stationary machine, but not a smartphone. Then the company decided to change the chipset as best it can.

The Galaxy S22 series could feature the Exynos 2200 chipset, and as per the previous reports, Galaxy S22 Ultra will bring more advancements in the camera department.
