A recent benchmark score of the Samsung Exynos 2200 has shown up online and it shows that the GPU of this chip has a Wild Life test score of 8134 on 3D Mark. What’s interesting is that the score of the Snapdragon 888 GPU on the same database is between 5800 – 6000.
This shows that the Samsung Exynos 2200 leads the Snapdragon 888 by 40%. And we can estimate by the report that the Exynos 2200 will not only beat the SD888, but it will defeat the Snapdragon 895 as well.
According to sources, the CPU and GPU performance of the Exynos 2200 will be higher than the Snapdragon 895 SoC. However, Apple’s A15 Bionic remains unbeatable in terms of CPU performance. But Samsung’s Exynos 2200 still beats the A15 Bionic in GPU performance.
- CPU: A15 > Exynos 2200 > Snapdragon 895
- GPU: Exynos 2200 > A15 > Snapdragon 895
According to information from recent leaks, we know some details about the architecture of the Snapdragon 895. The upcoming chip from Qualcomm will use a 1+3+2+2 four-cluster architecture. It will also use the Kryo 780 super core based on Cortex-X2, the Kryo 780 core based on Cortex-710, the Kryo 780 energy-efficient core based on Cortex-510 (High Frequency), along with the Kryo 780 energy efficiency small core based on Cortex-A510 (low frequency).
The preliminary test results on GeekBench 5 states that in terms of single-core tests the new chip scores about 10% higher than the Snapdragon 888. And in the multi-core score test, it is about 6% higher. Snapdragon 895’s AnTuTu score is about 20% higher than the Snapdragon 888 SoC.
Coming to the Exynos 2200 not much is known about the chip however, it’s speculated that it will come with Samsung’s new video accelerator. We can expect that the chip will be powering Samsung’s flagship, Galaxy S22 series. Previous leaks have given us information that the new chip will use the 4nm LPE process technology.
