Korean industry publication The Elec reports that the mobile division of Samsung Electronics has shared its 2022 business plan with 30 major partners. At the meeting, the company announced its goals to increase production of tablets, laptops and wearables in 2022, and also confirmed the release of some devices. These include the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series, the Buds 2 Pro, etc.
As per the report, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series will include four models. These include the vanilla Tab S8, S8+, S8 Ultra and S8 Lite. Out of the four, the former three will hit production between Q1 and Q2 2022, whereas the Tab S8 Lite will enter production around Q3 or Q4 of 2022. Two of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab A-series devices, which include the Tab A8 and Tab A7 Lite, will enter production next year.
Samsung also plans to refresh its smartwatch lineup next year. The Galaxy Watch5 will enter production around Q3 or Q4 of 2022. Samsung aims to manufacture over 19 million units of the Galaxy Watch5 smartwatch in total. The South Korean tech giant will also launch two new wireless earbuds in 2022. These include the Galaxy Buds Live2 and the Galaxy Buds Pro2. The Pro earbuds will hit production between Q2-Q4 of 2022, whereas the Live2 will hit the production deck between Q3-Q4 of 2022. The company has already launched the Galaxy Buds2 earlier this year.
Lastly, there are at least three Samsung laptops that will launch in 2022. These include the 2-in-1 Galaxy Book2 Pro, Galaxy Book2 and the Galaxy ChromeBook Go. All three laptops will enter production between Q2-Q4 of 2022.
