Experts maintain that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company will command a hegemonic position in the global market, but Samsung Electronics and Intel perceive an opportunity to outpace the sector’s next big development.

A number of TSMC’s largest clients, including Apple and Nvidia, have already seen the results of the process testing conducted on its “N2” (or 2 nanometer) prototypes. TSMC is the industry leader in the processor market worldwide.

According to sources, US chipmaker Qualcomm plans to integrate Korean tech giant’s “SF2” semiconductor into its upcoming high-end smartphone CPUs. The company’s fortunes would drastically change when Qualcomm switched the majority of its flagship mobile processors from Samsung’s 4 nanometer technology to TSMC’s version.

TSMC has already given a number of its largest clients, such as Apple and Nvidia, the results of its process tests for its “N2” (or 2 nanometer) prototypes. TSMC is the market leader for processors worldwide.
