SonyLIV has dropped the trailer of the latest Malayalam offering as ‘Salute’. It is featuring Dulqueer Salmaan in such a lead role This movie has been helmed by Rosshan Andrrewa. It seems that the onset of the third wave of Covid-19 and also has been very subsequent restrictions on to the theatres forcing the makers to rethink the plan of release.
It is still not clear why the makers have opted for such the direct OTT release at the time while the box office business also has been coming back to normalcy.
Salute: Plot
It is still very hard to guess about the story from the trailer. The new trailer opens with a scene of the police station where two men come with biodata of a policeman and the police want to know exactly where this man is, and they are trying to find whom he had met, whom he last calls and each every detail as soon as possible with such effect.
They are now assuming that for him to meet with Murali after Murali get the court gave him the verdict and also taking such an appointment with the judge.
They find something is not right. After that, the trailer shows the police who are investigating the Martin-Sheeba murder case Crime Number 252/17. The Dulqueer Salmaan was seen accelerating the Bullet bike.
The twists come after the incident happening by someone who has been using his name, and address and done some bad acts but the entire police searching for him but he is not that man who committed that crime. After that the life of Dulquer Salmaan become hell. Now everything becomes against him and the entire mob becomes angry with him as they start to show anger infront of his house. At the end of the trailer, Dulqueer Salmaan is a scene with a pistol in a hand like pursuing a mission.
It is based on the pains and pleasure to be a cop. Dulqueer Salmaan has been seen to play honest police and also it is very safe to be assumed to play such of the honest police and also it is very safe to think that he has been also discharged from the duty for some of the serious reasons. He has been seemed to be pursuing his own parallel investigation into the hope of finding peace and justice.
Now it seems that the trailer has been cut in between past and present. In the past Dulqeer was appeared happy and content along with his family and job. Now presently, he has been missed his bygone days while he had been happy and content.
Salute: Cast
This film features Manoj K. Jayan, Diana Penty, and Dulqueer Salmaaan. Salute has been written by screenwriter duo Boby-Sanjay who are also regular to collaborates of Rosshan Andrrews. This film also made Diana Penty’s debut in the Malayalam film industry.
We have seen last time Dalquer Salmaan in Hey Sinamika. He also bankrolled in Puzhu. Puzhu marking as his first collaboration along with his father Mammootty who is playing the lead role in the movie. It also features Parvathy Thiruvothu.
