Salomon Kalou, a former Chelsea player and Champions League winner, has signed for Ivorian club SC Gagnoa. The veteran has been convinced to join not only as a player but also as a director.
The 39-year-old is stepping out of retirement to make the switch, and will be reuniting with former Arta Solar 7 manager Tommy Tayoro Nyckoss, who has joined Gagnoa as the new manager.

‘I am going to get a player’s licence, so that I can be part of coach Bernard Casoni’s squad.
‘And maybe if SC Gagnoa play against ASEC Mimosas or Africa Sports in the Ivorian Cup, I will take part in the game,’ Kalou recently revealed.
He played for Chelsea between 2006 and 2012, scoring 60 goals in the Blue shirt in 254 appearances. Overall, he won the Premier League, four FA Cup titles, the EFL Cup and the Champions League while in West London.
