In the song, Salman Khan and Chitrangada Singh portray the life of an army officer and his family going through ups and downs, depicting the sacrifices made in relationships. It’s the kind of restrained, bittersweet love story that hits hardest — not because it’s loud, but because it quietly shows you what duty costs.

Sharing a glimpse from the song, Salman Khan himself wrote: “Aaj aasman mein Chand dekhne ko nahi mila, koi baat nahi.. Maatrubhumi ka Chand Dekh Lena.. May War Rest in Peace.” [Cineblitz](https://cineblitz.in/5-new-ott-releases-you-cant-miss-this-week/) That personal touch from Salman sets the emotional tone perfectly for Eid.

## The Bigger Picture: What Is Maatrubhumi?

Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace is based on the intense standoff between India and China in the Galwan Valley in 2020 — a conflict that left a deep scar on national consciousness. The [Galwan Valley clash](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Galwan_Valley_skirmish) is one of the most significant border confrontations India has faced in decades, and the film promises to bring that story to the big screen with full-scale drama.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia — known for *Shootout at Lokhandwala* — the film was initially targeted for an April 17 release, but recent reports suggest it may now arrive in July or August 2026.
