A senior IPS officer confirmed the incident: “Saif Ali Khan has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital for treatment. It is unclear whether he was stabbed or injured during a scuffle with the intruder. Investigations are ongoing, with the Mumbai Crime Branch conducting a parallel probe.”
Medical Updates
Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, shared details of Saif’s condition: “He was brought to the hospital at 3:30 a.m. with six injuries, two of which are deep. One wound is near his spine, requiring immediate attention. A team of specialists, including neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leena Jain, and anesthetist Dr. Nisha Gandhi, began surgery at 5:30 a.m. The extent of the damage will be determined after the procedure.”
Dr. Uttamani also revealed an additional injury near Saif’s neck that is under evaluation. Another hospital source noted that a piece of the knife was found lodged in the actor’s body. Despite the severity of the injuries, Saif has been able to move his limbs, indicating his spine remains unaffected.
One of the deeper wounds required 10 stitches but did not impact any vital organs. “Saif was fortunate that none of the injuries caused significant internal damage,” a hospital source said. The attack appeared to be part of an attempted robbery.

Saif’s family, including Kareena Kapoor and their sons, Taimur (8) and Jeh (4), are by his side at the hospital. The couple resides in the Satguru Sharan building in Bandra West, where they have lived since their marriage in 2012.
