Indian esports just had one of its biggest moments of 2026 — and if you blinked, you might have missed it. **S8UL** has officially qualified for the **Honor of Kings World Cup (KWC)** at the [Esports World Cup 2026](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esports_World_Cup), punching India’s ticket to one of the most prestigious global gaming stages of the year.

The tournament runs from **July 30 to August 8** in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where 20 of the world’s best Honor of Kings teams will battle for a **USD 3 million (~INR 28.5 crore)** prize pool. S8UL will be the flag-bearer.

### How S8UL Earned the Spot

The qualification came through a dominant run at the **King’s Arise India Qualifier**. After winning the Kings’ Arise City Tour in Mumbai to enter the playoffs, S8UL stormed through the bracket:

| Stage | Opponent | Result |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Quarterfinals** | Resurrection Imp. | Won 4-2 |
| **Semifinals** | GodLike Esports | Won 4-1 |
| **Grand Finals** | Revenant XSpark | May 17 (upcoming) |

The top two teams from the event advance to KWC 2026 — and S8UL secured their slot with the semifinal win. The grand final against Revenant XSpark on May 17 will decide the India qualifier championship, but the World Cup berth is already confirmed.

Current EWC 2026 qualification status:

### Investing in Indian Talent — Not Just Results

What sets S8UL apart isn’t just the wins. The organisation has launched a **first-of-its-kind Talent Hunt Program** for fighting games, selecting six Indian athletes for FATAL FURY, Street Fighter 6, and TEKKEN 8. Each selected player receives:

- Professional coaching
- Fully funded tournament participation
- Complete travel support
- Monthly stipend
- Integration into S8UL’s content ecosystem

This is the kind of structural investment Indian esports has needed for years — and S8UL is walking the talk.

> *“We’ve always believed that Indian talent can compete at the highest level globally, and this qualification is another step toward proving that.”* — Animesh Agarwal, Co-founder & CEO, S8UL
