Two of South Korea’s most compelling actors may be sharing the screen soon, and K-drama fans are already buzzing. Ryu Jun Yeol and Hong Kyung are reportedly in talks to lead the upcoming Netflix drama **“Outback”** (working title) — with reports surfacing on April 13 and 14, 2026 respectively.

## What Is “Outback” About?

Based on a popular webtoon, “Outback” follows the story of **Si On**, who travels to Australia in search of his older sister, and a mysterious man named **Hans**. Think suspense, family secrets, and the vast wilderness of the Australian outback — a refreshing departure from the usual K-drama settings.

[Korean webtoon adaptations](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Webtoon) have powered some of Netflix’s biggest hits, making “Outback” a highly anticipated project even before casting is confirmed.
