Bayern Munich have confirmed the signing of Ryan Gravenberch from Ajax. The 20-year-old has signed a long-term deal until June 2027. The transfer fee negotiated for the 20-year-old is around €18.5 million, with his former club entitled to 7% of any future sale.
The Bundesliga champions pursued the midfielder for months, and have finally completed his signing. His arrival will be a huge boost for Julian Nagelsmann for the coming years, since the Netherlands international is expected to be one of the top talents in the coming years.
Ryan Gravenberch is now officially a Bayern Munich player
“Gravenberch is a young, highly interesting player who lots of Europe’s top clubs would’ve liked to have signed. He’s chosen FC Bayern because he can develop at the highest level here,” Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn said.
The youngster only had one year remaining on his contract with Ajax, and decided not to renew with them any further. As a result, the Dutch side have cashed in on their man and let him go for a decent fee.
“He’s one of the biggest talents in Europe, has superb technical ability, always finds solutions in tight spaces, is very dynamic and a goal threat,” Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić said.
Bayern Munich have also signed Noussair Mazraoui from Ajax alongside Ryan Gravenberch. The Moroccan made the switch as a free agent after his contract with Ajax ran out, and will now be playing together with his former teammate in Bavaria too.
