This pioneering tournament will bring together six of India’s biggest content creators, including Ajey Nagar (CarryMinati), Ashish Chanchlani, Tanmay Singh (Scout), Harsh Beniwal, Nischay Malhan (Triggered Insaan), and Naman Mathur (Mortal), with the aim of revolutionizing the competitive gaming landscape in India.
The PGEC 2023 marks the grand opening of Playground’s highly anticipated annual programming and sets the stage for the exhilarating Playground eSports League and the exciting Playground Season 3. With electrifying and nail-biting action, this tournament promises to unite gaming enthusiasts and showcase the best gaming talent in the industry.
Playground has established itself as one of the most prominent IPs in the gaming world by combining entertainment with gaming in a groundbreaking approach. The company, in association with its partnering sponsors, has already received accolades at prestigious events such as ABBY’s 2023 and EMVIES 2023.
Mayank Yadav, CEO of Rusk Media, expressed his excitement about the Playground Exhibition Cup 2023, stating that it aims to redefine competitive gaming tournaments in the country. The tournament caters to the hardcore gaming demographic and aims to elevate competitive gaming to unprecedented heights.
The PGEC will feature six teams, with five of them hailing from the prestigious Playground 2 (PG2). Each team has a renowned content creator as a mentor and a skilled captain. The tournament boasts an impressive prize pool of up to INR 25 lakhs, with the Player MVP Prize Money amounting to INR 5 lakhs. The winning team and runners-up will receive INR 10 lakhs and INR 5 lakhs, respectively.
The tournament is powered by Duolingo and will provide an enhanced overall experience with its exclusive grooming partner, Bombay Shaving Company, travel partner, EaseMyTrip, and voting partner, Rumble.
Fans can enjoy an immersive gaming experience as the tournament will be streamed live on Playground’s YouTube channel from June 9th to 25th at 6:30 pm every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
