Rumors: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 to have laptop variants soon

We have seen many leaks and rumors about Nvidia’s upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 and the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti. But the latest rumor is that the green team plans to release desktop and laptop versions of the GeForce RTX 3050 series, possibly on GA107 and GA107M GPUs.

A screenshot posted at GPU-Z suggests some specifications about a GPU that NVIDIA has codenamed ’10DE 25A4′. According to sources, the 10DE 25A4 is the GA107M GPU that NVIDIA will use in the GeForce RTX 3050 laptop variant. The GeForce RTX 3050 has 2,048 CUDA cores, 20% fewer than the complete GA107 desktop configuration.

According to rumors, the 10DE 25A4 has 4 GB of GDDR6 VRAM which runs at 12 Gbps on a 128-bit bus and yields a total bandwidth of 192 GB/s. the card also has a 25.4 GPixel/s Pixel Fillrate, a 135.1 GTexel/s Texture Fillrate and a 795 MHz boost clock.

Until now, we have not received any confirmation as to when does Nvidia plans to release the RTX 3050 series for laptops. It is also reported that the card supports PCIe 3.0, which suggests that it will only be available on laptops with AMD Ryzen 5000 or Comet Lake-H processors.

The GeForce RTX 3050 Ti on the other hand supports PCIe 4.0, and we already know that it comes with an Intel Tiger Lake-H45 processor. Intel is also expected to announce Tiger Lake-H45 processors in Q2 2021.
