NVIDIA’s new RTX 4080 is almost here and that means gamers will get a new GPU to enjoy games at the highest quality thanks to the new Ada Lovelace architecture. While in gaming NVIDIA has promised significant performance uplift when compared to the prior gen RTX 3080 or 3080 Ti but at a cost though.
Now, if you sideline the raw gaming or the ray-traced performance, these NVIDIA GPUs have a significant role when it comes to productivity tasks as well. Well, Blender seems to love NVIDIA and its RTX 30-series already has an edge over the AMD counterparts and now the upcoming RTX 40-series has unmatched scores for Blender.
As you see the leak of @TUM_APISAK, you will see the new RTX 4090 is already almost 92 faster than the prior flagship i.e. the RTX 3090 Ti. Now, what about the RTX 4080 which sports 16GB GDDR6X memory along with 9728 CUDA cores and 2.51GHz clock speeds, it seems that the GPU is almost 50% faster than the last-gen RTX 3090 Ti.
So, anyone who wants good productivity performance can wait for the upcoming RTX 4080 which looks to be a nice option for both gamers and content creators. However, do note that this is only one benchmark, so take it with a pinch of salt but still, you can take reference from this leak.
